GAWA Capital's fund, Huruma, has a rural & agricultural focus and aims to invest around 30% of its portfolio in Asia, specifically in India. Huruma also offers technical assistance to investees, and among other project types, agricultural value chain enhancement can be supported. Huruma is currently in investment phase, but we already count with some equity investments in India, such as in WayCool: one of India's largest and fastest growing agri-food companies, processing, distributing, and supplying dairy and fresh produce staples. WayCool leverages innovative technology to manage the complex agricultural supply chain. Through the Outgrow program, it aims to implement food waste reduction techniques that would increase farmers' incomes by more than 10%. We are also targeting our technical assistance project with Waycool to fostering best agricultural practices (regarding adaptation and mitigation).
